Registration

In order to allow as many new faces to attend each camp as possible, we request that repeat Weather Camp or Advanced Weather Camp applicants wait until Monday, March 4, to register so that first-time applicants get priority. Prior Weather Camp attendees are not considered repeats for Advanced Weather Camp and may apply at any time. 

Registration Fee

The registration fee covers instruction, housing, food, and all program materials.

  • Weather Camp — $950 per participant
  • Advanced Weather Camp — $1,150 per participant

How to Register

Step 1 – Review with your camper

Before you begin registration, please review these Standards of Conduct and Frequently Asked Questions.

Step 2 – Gather this information before completing your registration

  1. Medical history
  2. Date of most recent tetanus immunization
  3. List of current medications with dosages and time(s) taken

Weather Camp (Primarily for campers entering grade 8, 9, or 10)

Advanced Weather Camp is FULL — If you wish to be put on a wait list, please download and complete the Advanced Weather Camp Wait List form (PDF) in its entirety and email it to Darbi Bubb at dah982@psu.edu.

Step 4 – Payment

Payment is required at the time of registration. Even if you plan to apply for a scholarship, we highly recommend registering and paying now as the camp fills quickly. If your camper is awarded a scholarship, you will receive a refund for the amount of the scholarship.

Important Information for Parents/Guardians

Please review the Youth Programs Ethics and Compliance web page before camp starts. Penn State employees are not permitted to transport or arrange transportation for a minor attending a youth program.

Deadline

All registrations must be received by 5:00 p.m. (ET) on May 17, 2024. You are urged to register well before this date, as this camp tends to sell out quickly. For questions, please call 814-863-5100.

Confirmation

You will receive confirmation by email; if you do not provide an email address, you will receive confirmation by postal mail.

Refunds

If your request to withdraw is received at least 15 business days prior to the first day of the program, we can issue a partial refund. Send your written request by email to psuconferences@psu.edu. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for each withdrawal.

Confidentiality

For legal reasons, the University cannot release the names or phone numbers of other participants, not even to those who want to carpool.
