Registration Fee

The registration fee covers instruction, housing, food, and all program materials.

Weather Camp — $1,050.00 per participant
- Primarily for campers entering grade 8, 9, or 10
Advanced Weather Camp — $1,225.00 per participant
- Primarily for campers entering grade 11 or 12

Registration Steps

We offer Early Access Registration for first-time Weather Camp or first-time Advanced Weather Camp attendees (campers who have attended Weather Camp but are registering for Advanced Weather camp for the first time are eligible). This helps us allow as many new faces to attend each camp as possible. We appreciate the understanding and support of our returning families.

Early Access Registration opens on Monday, November 17, at 9:00 a.m.

Parents of new campers should complete the Early Access Verification Form (link will be posted here November 17) to confirm their child’s eligibility and receive the registration link. If a camper registers during Early Access but has previously attended that specific camp, their registration will be canceled and refunded minus a $60 cancellation fee. They will be asked to re-register when General Registration opens, if spots are still available.

General registration opens on Thursday, November 20, at 9:00 a.m. for returning campers who are registering to attend the same camp that they have attended in the past.

Step 2 - Set up a CampDoc parent/guardian account or log in with an existing account

The account must be setup with the parent/guardian name and email

Step 3 - Registration and Payment

Payment is required at the time of registration. Even if you plan to apply for a scholarship, we highly recommend registering as soon as your child is eligible and paying at that time as the camp fills quickly. If your camper is awarded a scholarship, you will receive a refund for the amount of the scholarship.

The registration link will be posted here on November 20 at 9:00 a.m. or provided to eligible Early Access registrants via the Early Access Verification Form.

Note: Completing payment reserves your child’s spot in camp, but you must complete all Participant Forms by Friday, May 22nd.

Step 4 - Complete Participant Forms

Deadline for completing participant forms: Friday, May 22

All forms must be completed by the due date or your child will not be allowed to participate in camp.

Important Information for Parents/Guardians

Please review the Youth Programs Ethics and Compliance web page before camp starts. Penn State employees are not permitted to transport or arrange transportation for a minor attending a youth program.

Refunds

Weather Camp

If your cancellation request is received before or on May 29, 2026, you will receive a full refund minus a $60 administrative fee. Cancellations received between May 30, 2026, and the start of camp will not receive a refund. Please send your written cancellation request to psuconferences@psu.edu.

Advanced Weather Camp

If your cancellation request is received before or on June 5, 2026, you will receive a full refund minus a $60 administrative fee. Cancellations received between June 6, 2026, and the start of camp will not receive a refund. Please send your written cancellation request to psuconferences@psu.edu.

Confidentiality

For legal reasons, the University cannot release the names or phone numbers of other participants, not even to those who want to carpool.
