Registration Fee
The registration fee covers instruction, housing, food, and all program materials.
- Advanced Weather Camp Week 1 (June 13–18, 2027) — $1,325.00 per participant
(Primarily for campers entering grade 11 or 12) - Weather Camp (June 21–25, 2027) — $1,125.00 per participant
(Primarily for campers entering grade 8, 9, or 10) - Advanced Weather Camp Week 2 (June 27–July 2, 2027) — $1,325.00 per participant
(Primarily for campers entering grade 11 or 12)
We are excited to offer two weeks of Advanced Weather Camp this summer! As the programming in both sessions is identical, campers should only register for one of the two weeks.
Early Access Registration
We offer Early Access Registration for first-time Weather Camp or first-time Advanced Weather Camp attendees (campers who have attended Weather Camp but are registering for either week of Advanced Weather camp for the first time are eligible). This helps us allow as many new faces to attend each camp as possible. We appreciate the understanding and support of our returning families.
Early Access Registration opens on Tuesday, November 17, at 9:00 a.m.
Parents of new campers should complete the Early Access Verification Form (link will be posted here November 17) to confirm their child’s eligibility and receive the registration link. If a camper registers during Early Access but has previously attended that specific camp, their registration will be canceled and refunded minus a $100 cancellation fee. They will be asked to re-register when General Registration opens, if spots are still available.
Registration Steps
General registration opens on Friday, November 20, at 9:00 a.m. for returning campers who are registering to attend the same camp that they have attended in the past.

Important Information for Parents/Guardians
Please review the Youth Programs Ethics and Compliance web page before camp starts. Penn State employees are not permitted to transport or arrange transportation for a minor attending a youth program.

Refunds
Advanced Weather Camp Week 1
If your cancellation request is received before or on May 14, 2027, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations received between May 15, 2027, and the start of camp will not receive a refund. Please send your written cancellation request to Melissa Szmal at mmm354@psu.edu.
Weather Camp
If your cancellation request is received before or on May 24, 2027, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations received between May 25, 2027, and the start of camp will not receive a refund. Please send your written cancellation request to Melissa Szmal at mmm354@psu.edu.
Advanced Weather Camp Week 2
If your cancellation request is received before or on May 28, 2027, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations received between May 29, 2027, and the start of camp will not receive a refund. Please send your written cancellation request to Melissa Szmal at mmm354@psu.edu.
Confidentiality
For legal reasons, the University cannot release the names or phone numbers of other participants, not even to those who want to carpool.
