What to Bring to Camp

Bed linens are provided in the residence halls. Each rooms has a small refrigerator and microwave.

You should bring:

  • fan (highly recommended as rooms are not air-conditioned)
  • pillow and pillowcase
  • blankets or sleeping bag (twin bed size) (flat sheet provided)
  • soap, toiletries, washcloth and towel, shower shoes
  • refillable water bottle
  • headphones for music
  • alarm clock
  • sunscreen and/or hat
  • summer clothing and light jacket (hot weather and possibly cool evenings)
  • comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes (it is a large campus and one of the sites we may visit requires closed-toe shoes)
  • cash or debit card for vending machines or souvenirs, if the counselors choose to take some students to the creamery or downtown (optional)
  • rain gear
  • clothes hangers
  • prescription and over-the-counter medications (in original container)
  • mask (optional)
    Note: While the current guidelines do not require campers to wear masks in the spaces that will be utilized for this camp, we are fully supportive of mask-wearing for those who choose to do so.
  • 1–2 COVID tests (optional, recommended)

Do NOT bring:

  • a personal laptop (campers will use campus computer facilities, if needed)
  • valuables — Penn State is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items
