Financial Aid

A limited amount of financial aid is available from Penn State Outreach for this program. If you would like to be considered for financial aid, please complete the financial aid application for the camp that your child would like to attend.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

1. Complete the registration process.
2. Secure your spot by making payment in full as the camps fill quickly. If you are awarded Financial Aid, that amount will be refunded to you.
3. Complete the Financial Aid Applications below for the camp that you registered for.

Weather Camp Financial Aid Application

Advanced Weather Camp Financial Aid Application

The priority application deadline is March 21, 2026, and notifications are estimated to be sent by March 30, 2026. Applications will be considered after this date if funds are still available. If awarded aid, you will receive a refund to your child’s CampDoc account for the amount of the aid.

A limited number of scholarships are available to financially disadvantaged students, and other scholarships are available to students from underrepresented groups.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

1. Complete the registration process.
2. Secure your spot by making payment in full as the camps fill quickly. If you are awarded a scholarship, that amount will be refunded to you.
3. Submit a 150-word (maximum), handwritten essay on “Why I want to go to Penn State’s Weather Camp.” Essays may be scanned and emailed to mmm354@psu.edu.
4. All materials must be received by March 21, 2026.

Please be aware that since the camps fill quickly, you are not guaranteed a spot until payment is received. Please contact the program manager to discuss payment issues at psuconferences@psu.edu.

You will receive an email notification in early April if you were awarded a scholarship.
